Written hard copy excuses or signed pictures of excuses sent as an attachment to an email are required. Please see below:
All absences are required to be treated as unlawful until the district receives a written excuse explaining the absence. For any absence to be excused, an excuse note must be signed by a parent/guardian and must be submitted to the school office within three (3) days following the absence.
Standard excuse cards are available for parent/guardian convenience or notes can be provided on separate paper. Please provide the child's name, grade, date of absence(s), reason for absence, and parent/guardian signature. Email excuse information without a signature is not an acceptable format. However, a note may be emailed in PDF format as an attachment containing a parent signature. Parents may also fax a signed excuse with the above information to the school's office.
