Neff News Winter Weather Reminders: 12/1/25

Dress for the Weather!Students should be dressed for the weather with layers as needed: a warm coat, mittens/gloves, and a hat (please label your child’s items!). Students typically have outdoor recess unless it is 20° or below, factoring in wind chill. If it is raining or icy, students will have indoor recess.If your child does not have a coat, hat, and/or gloves please reach out to our school counselor, Mrs. Hollenbach (hollenke@mtwp.net). We are happy to help make sure your child has these items. 

The most up-to-the-minute school closing information will always be posted on www.mtwp.net.Please do NOT rely on calling the school for early dismissal, delay, or closing information.

Weather DelaysIf the district is placed on a two-hour delay due to inclement weather, please note the following reminders for our Neff Lions:

• School starts at 11:00am (doors open at 10:45am)

• Buses pick up approx. 2 hours later than the regular AM pick up time.

Weather Early DismissalIf we have an early dismissal due to inclement weather, you will be notified via an automated phone call. It is very important that you keep your contact information (phone number and email) updated in Sapphire.Students will be sent home via the way families selected on their Emergency Early Dismissal form at the beginning of the year.  If you did not submit an Emergency Early Dismissal form, your child will be sent home how they are typically sent home (regular bus or car rider).  There is no Envisions after-school care on emergency early dismissal days.  Please contact Mrs. Mitchell (mitchean@mtwp.net) to double check the information we have on file for your child(ren).
