Neff Elementary PTO -- Quarterly Meeting
Wednesday, September 10, 2025 6:30pm in person
Welcome & Introduction:
Meeting called to order at 6:31 PM
Approval of minutes from last meeting—May 13, 2025
Approved, 1st: Steph Gerber 2nd: Taylor Good
Review and approval of bylaws
Ruth Wagner made motion to add Social Media Chair as a formal chair position.
Approved, agreement to add position formally to the bylaws and updates.

Welcome Back to Neff!
Goals for the year:
Raise $15,000 at Lion’s Quest!
Previous goal was $12,500. This year's goal is $50/student
Lions' Quest will be Oct 24 2025. Students will get notice to start fundraising September 22nd.
Fundraising platform 99pledges. Each student will be able to make a personalized fundraising page for the event.
Prizes:
Any donation will get a shoe charm and bracelet- Teacher's to hand out after event
Neff hats to class with top fundraising student in each classroom.
Glow Party for any class that meets their class goal.
Top fundraising class prize- TBD
Increase parent involvement
Biggest volunteer event that requires clearances.
Passive Fundraising
Yearbook- TJ Stewart, Liz Scherer
Additional volunteers needed to take pictures at events and gather pictures from classroom teachers
Consider adding a "photographer" slot to volunteer sign up sheet.
Restaurant Nights- Sara Bowers
Bierhall- September 25th, 5-8pm, 10% of all proceeds that night will go to Neff.
Spiritwear- Sara Maysilles
Currently happening- Ends Sept 14th.
Feedback- some people wanting an option to add name to the back; sweatpant option; shirt sample sizes to be kept in the office for future events?
Upcoming Events

Volunteer: Callers and Concession stands covered
Bowling:
Chair: Olivia Cordero
Leisure Lanes:
Last year $8, 2 games +shoes, people paid at the door
This year $5/game, 2 games + shoes
Dutch Lanes:
$12/person, 2 hours of bowling + shoes,$4 will be given back to the organization.
They would prefer pre-pay.
Find out if people could pay at the door.
Seeking a co-chair

Picture Day 10/8- need volunteers with clearances
Picture day 9:20am- 12pm, 2 Shifts

Current Balance: $11,752.70, Bylaws require we maintain $10,000.
Corporate sponsors: Kissell Hill Cabinets, Wenger Painting, Bible 2 School, KL Armstrong, Edge Up-2025, Albright Orthodontics, Lititz Orthodontics, Brentwood Builders, Packard Electric
School District will be covering transportation and nurse expense.

Are there outside organizations that could do it: Boy Scouts? Brethren Village? Girls on the Run? Local Garden Clubs? Artist in Residency? Key Club? Sustainability Club? 4-H?

Make it optional to teachers
We'd like to have teachers include more messages in Seesaw. Send it to Ms. Reichl.
Back to School Night date
Feedback: open doors earlier, give a little time to get from one place to the next.
Some parents liked being able to meet teachers so early and feel more comfortable sending their kid to school.
