Neff Elementary PTO-Quarterly Meeting Minutes
Tuesday, May 13th, 2025 6:30pm in person
“I want to call the meeting to order, time is 6:33pm”
- Welcome & Introductions of everyone who attended 
- Approval of minutes from last meeting—March 11th, 2025 
- Principal Report: Taylor Good - Bundt cakes were a great addition to teacher appreciation. Everything that was done for this week was truly appreciated. Thank you. 
- Field trips will be standardized for next school year. District will absorb the cost of the nursing staff and transportation costs for all field trips next year. 
- Tower in the Atrium is a hydroponic garden. All classrooms are taking advance of learning from this garden. Every year a new garden will be planted. 
- Pots outside of Neff-on radar. Trying to figure out how to make them better visually 
- Summer hours 7:30a-3:30p M-TH 
- Neff PTO meetings will be kept bimonthly starting in September 
 
- Treasurer Report-Steph Gerber - Budget review - We did very well this year and were able to stay within budget. The beginning of the year we did not know if we would be able to do all activities planned, but we squeak by. What does future look like from a fundraising standpoint? 
- Corporate sponsors are truly needed in order for us to continue to do the things we like and want to do. 
- Increase ticket sales to events? Fees for field trips? Decrease high ticket items at spring fest for the give and get event? 
 
 
- SLAC Report-Lori DeTemple - Tour of food services and the High School cafeteria. Great insight on what the school is doing for all buildings when it comes to nutrition. 
 
- PTO Update: Rachel Levine - Passive Fundraiser - Yearbook- - Additional volunteers needed to take pictures at events and gather pictures from classroom teachers 
 
- Restaurant Nights - End of the year Ice Cream Social at the Oregon Dairy. Use it as a last hurrah for the school year. 
 
 
- Past Events - Roller Skating-look into doing something different. Not a great experience with the venue and staff. 
- Bookfair-Things to look at next year - E-wallet logistics 
- Setup for next year-Different location 
- PTO table of books to choose from was a huge success 
 
 
- Spring Fest - Everything is good to go 
- 2 food trucks and vendors confirmed, baskets ready 
- Presale is light conflicting with other events-Next year move up a week to help with participation. 
 
 
- Board Members for Next Year - President-Rachel Levine
